Things haven’t been too healthy in the Pulp camp of late, after the critical and commercial acclaim which greeted their 1995 release ‘Different Class’ it hasn’t been hard to observe a general downward curve. What really makes this great is the quality of the songs writen by Jarvis Cocker, each one tells a great story from 'Common People' about ...

Some excellent laid back Ska tunes.
There are only eight tracks on the album.

Enjoyable Misfits-style punk, with the band's strongest early material.
Second side is less interesting.
Blood For Satan - Black Dawn
Completely average modern black metal.
Completely average modern black metal.
Against The Elements - Beyond the Embrace
Keeping the spirit of melodeath alive, with some good vocals too.
Owes everything to a couple of In Flames albums.
Songs From The Archives - Crimson Moonlight
Pleasant melodic black metal.
Keyboard overpowers all.
Battered Drain - Auschwitz 46
Decent imitation of nineties industrial rock.
No defining characteristics.
Inhale the Evil - Hasta La Vista Social Club
X Japan - Dahlia
Loud, fast metal songs, mixed in with slow epic ballads
"White Poem I" just isn't up to scratch and would have been better left out
