In Love And Death: Parental Advisory - Used
by Baby_Cerys - written on 15/09/08 (Very useful, 38 readings)
Rating:
This is The Used second studio album, it also does not disappoint. The vocals are truely out of this world and the riffs are extremely catchy. The bands lead vocalist Bert Mccracken is a genious in himself. I am very much into unique, distinct sounding singers with their own style of singing and Bert has this to a tee!! I can recognise his voice straight away when he sings and this is what draws me in. Half of the album contains slow and slightly slow catchy verses, and the other half contains very upbeat tunes and great guitar riffs. Slow songs on this album include Yesterday s Feelings and, It s Hard To Say. Slightly slow tracks include All That I ve Got, Light with ...

second album by The Used . It is an Emo/rock album and one of the very few emo bands that i can stand, let alone like. But this album is amazing. There are one or two tracks that don t make the mark, but tracks such as "i m a fake" make this album worth buying for the song alone. It has a feel to the album and the ...

The Used - Used
by Pete Richards - written on 12/08/03 (Very useful, 595 readings)
Rating:
Amongst far too many woe-is-me, I’m heartbroken, please think I’m a bit like Cobain bands, The Used are fighting their way through the list and gaining themselves a fair following, with the honest, un-exaggerated, passionate post-pre-emo-grunge-punk-hardcore-screamo-rocking, -never should be labeled- music presented on their debut self-titled album, The Used. From the unforgettable opening riff on the album “Maybe Memories” to the obliterating screams of “Choke Me”, The Used deliver 100% passion and effort through the entire CD, tackling many tricky subjects deeply and not letting an ounce of worthy emotion miss a song… The ...
