We're Going To Hell For This - Carpathian Forest
Honest and well-chosen retrospective.
Live show is less enjoyable, due to repetitive style.
Through Chasm Caves And Titan Woods - Carpathian Forest
Great start that hints at what might have been.
More traditionally-minded songs still sound weak by comparison.
The Mechanical Hand - Horse The Band
Some strong keyboard sounds at times created here, the lyrics are pretty good.
The album is poorly structured, the music created here often sounds a mess.
Strange Old Brew - Carpathian Forest
Boldly and enjoyably experimental, while making plenty of time more for primal fun.
Tries patience at times.
Skjend Hans Lik - Carpathian Forest
Remastered demo is a nice present to the fans.
Bulked out by worthlessly inferior material.
R Borlax - Horse The Band
The music is great fun to listen to, excellent use of lyrics is made here.
If you don't like hardcore shouted vocals then you won't like this.
Morbid Fascination Of Death - Carpathian Forest
Experimental touches remain, despite dwindling.
Too many songs sound the same.
Dial-a-song: 20 Years Of They Might Be Giants - They Might Be Giants
Generally excellent music, lovingly packaged
Some key tracks missing
Black Shining Leather - Carpathian Forest
Audible bass makes an interesting change.
Confused and inconsistent on the one hand; repetitive on the other.
Defending The Throne Of Evil - Carpathian Forest
Great riffs and songs, atmospheric, tongue-in-cheek and entertaining
