... youtube clips, a superb mixture of interesting film making, the unique vocals of Yellow Thunder Woman and the bored student feel of the band challenging often tricky subjects brings a fun feel to the album. This pretty unconventional and unique band seem to be heard more often now as some of their music is used for jingles on tv adverts, songs like "We're all going to Hell" just about offends everyone whilst keeping a cheerful feel to it and "The Greatest Love Song" could easily be a modern pop tun...more

Memento Mori (Latin for calls for awareness of one's mortality) is the debut album of internet phenomenon band The Bastard Fairies. The Bastard Fairies took youtube by storm in 2006 and 2007, (becoming at one point the #18 Most Subscribed (All Time) Musicians and #31 Most Viewed (All Time) Musician on Youtube - courtesy of wikipedia!) The singer / lyricist is a native American called Wakinyan Zi Win (Yellow Thunder Woman) and the guitarist is Wiltshire born Robin Davey.
