This is metallicas last great album. Lets hope the new one is just as good. The songs are slowed down some since and justice for all. There are some very heavy guitars present here.'sad but true' is very heavy and doom laden like 'for whom the bells toll'.

This isnt really a heavy metal album because the guitars are to damn heavy. I would say it is an album that is heavy metal that has thrash influences. Reminds me of a more melodic testament.
