'Metallica' was the first album that I heard, and then *I* bought, and really got me into music. I was about 12/13 at the time, and Nirvana and the whole Grunge scene didn't appeal to me at the time. Guns N' Roses had lost the plot a few years, and everything else was either too extreme for me or cheesy, but I did have an appetite for rock music, and this was the best thing out, although I didn't buy it directly on release. I love this album, this album's my first love. I've played it to death, and I'm long since bored of it now, lol! =)
