Miasma is the 2005 album released by Detroit deathcore band The Black Dahlia Murder, the band who take their name from the intriguing and unsolved murder case in the mid 40s blast out a fine mixture of melody and death, the vocals are particularly grotesque sounding, high and nasally yet with quite a lot of death metal growl, the kind of sound you'd expect to hear coming from a gremlin coughing up a phlegm ball. The blast beats are fast and effective from the beginning to the end of most songs, some of the melodies are awesome with a nice guitar solo sneaked in now and then, just to remind you that the band are mere mortals and not a bunch of monsters in a ...
