Advantages: refreshing renditions, excellent performance, great album

Disadvantages: I cannot think of any

I am definitely a Michael Buble fan and I first knew him with this self-titled album released some few years back. I had no idea who he was ( I cannot even pronounce properly his last name back then) until he sung "The Way You Look Tonight" (which is a track in the album) with a famous local artist in the latter's show here in our country and yeah I was amazed by his refreshing jazz rendition of the song. I did a little research and made known that he is Canadian and his last name is pronounced as "Bubleigh". I checked on this album of his and was impressed with the rest of the tracks. And I thought he was someone to look out for - and I was right since after this album more great albums were released, many concerts performed, and more and more people loved him.

"Michael Buble" album contains 13 tracks which are covers of some hits in the past by great artists like George Michael (Kissing a Fool), Paul Anka (Put Your Head on my Shoulder) and a lot more . Many of the tracks though remind me of Frank Sinatra ( Well, yeah who else could we relate jazz to?). Below are the tracks included in the album:

1. Fever (3:51)
I can't help but to have a last song syndrome whenever I play this track (eventhough I don't have fever). But yeah, this is a sensual one and a good choice of having it the first track - it makes you want for more. My 9 year-old niece even has memorized the lyrics of the song and sings it every now and then.

2. Moondance (4:13)
A grander version of Van Morrison's with all those band instruments playing - great great arrangement.

3. Kissing a Fool (4:34)
George Michael's, this rendition by Michael Buble I found rather sensual, sexy, and lounge-type with the piano as the background.

4. Once In My Life (2:32)
In this cover, I can always bring to mind Frank Sinatra. But yeah, Michael Buble added a contemporary flavor to it which is very much appealing to any ages.

5. How Can You Mend a Broken Heart (3:54)
With David Foster as the one who produced, arranged, played the piano and bass (How could that be possible? I only found the info in the album. Hmmm... Maybe they just edited it. Another person could have done the bass (lol)), he made a great job on this one - very neat and simple. By the way, I think David Foster is very helpful with Buble's career. He has produced most, if not all, his album and concert. I have no doubts why - with such a talent Foster found a treasure on him.

6. Summer Wind (2:55)
A contemporary version of Sinatra's - another very refreshing version. It is event in most of the tracks that Sinatra has a great impact on this one talented being.

7. You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine (4:04)
Very romantic and swaying duet with Sheree Ford (I don't know her but she got a great voice as well). This song reminds me of Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman's "Someting Stupid". This is one of my favorites in the album.

8. Crazy Little Thing Called Love (3:09)
I already love this song of Queen and I believe Michael Buble gave justice to the song with his version - another favorite of mine.

9. Put Your Head On My Shoulder (4:26)
Yeah it is Paul Anka's. I love the slow mellow tune of this cover of Buble. I even added it on my music player playlist which I play when I am about to go to bed - a lullabye to my ears.

10. Sway (3:08)
Pussy Cat Dolls made a version of this after Michael Buble made the song a hit (again) in this album - another favorite. I think it was included in "Dance With Me" movie OST (starred by Richard Gere and J.Lo.)

11. The Way You Look Tonight (4:37)
I just love this song. This was the song which made know Michael Buble after he sung it with a local artist for a promotion of his concert in our country - truly great version.

12. Come Fly With Me (3:30)
I was blown away by the song. I truly did fly with Buble on this one - another magical performance by Michael Buble on this.

13. That's All (3:59)
Perfect title for the last track but yeah I was still craving for more afterward. The arrangement is superb.

A breakthrough album of Michael Buble, I believe this album and the rest of the albums of Michael Buble are worth checking. I highly recommend them to anyone who loves jazz or simply want to hear something new and refreshing - such a great talent.
