Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, Mr. Muhammad and Jarobi White came together again in 1993 as A Tribe Called Quest to bring their third album "Midnight Marauders". The new Yorkers come with even more of their alternative, Jazz-infleunced material that was seen to rival the Hip Hop of the West Coast which was predominantly Gangsta rap material (and was spreading back towards the East). 1. I am not a huge Hip Hop fan myself but my brother has all of this groups album. I borrowed this one for something to listen to and found the both the music & vocals lively and catchy. The album is threaded together with a futuristic theme that presents a package rather than just a collection of songs. The lyrics are produced mainly by the excellent Q Tip who is an extrodinarily talented rapper. The music itself is rich and deep and is great driving music.
