This is John Lennon's very best album in my opinion and has a very reflective introspective feel to it. I find it interesting that there are some astonishing songs on this album that rarely if ever get any radio airplay nowadays. The title track "Mind Games" is a real blockbuster of a track that has the familiar vocal echo sound all through it. This does get airplay unlike all of the others on the album. There are three or four tracks on here that if you analyze them don't really have much instrumentation in them, or at least if Lennon had sang them without musical accompaniment they would sound nearly as good. Sometimes when I read some of the brilliant music reviews on this site, I worry that my music tastes are too shallow, and that I do not appreciate some of the most influential musicians of the 20th Century such as Pink Floyd and Peter Andre...no maybe not the second one, but that was all I could think of.
