Although I tend to prefer my club music quite banging, it is sometimes useful to have a wind down session. Ministry have managed to carve out something pretty decent here in the form of a three disc chill out album. I wouldn't say it is chill out as in meditative whale music, but the music is a little more laidback and less abrasive than the likes of the Clubland fodder. There are 62 tracks on here in total. 808 State start us off with the trippy 'Pacific State.' The bird noises and dreamy instruments create a really special ambience, you will feel whisked away. The Beloved follow this with a superb track, in which the soft almost spoken vocals will calm any ... Read the complete review

I've got both of the M.O.S Chillout albums now, they're really great. This one is slightly better, just for the choice of songs on it. I rushed out and bought it as soon as I saw the advert on the TV - I like the choise of tracks and the fact that there is still a great beat on it, even though it's advertised as a chillout album. For me, the 3rd CD is the best, but the others are equally as good - it's all about personal choice. I love the Dana Bergquist & Peder G Remix of Pjanoo by Eric Prydz - it's just amazing. I know that this album will appeal to anyone - I even put it on as background music when I have the family round. My 2 year old godson ... Read the complete review

I'm not surprised this is the third best selling album on Amazon. Super-icy "Chilled II" had people running out their doors naked to purchase the Ministry of Sound masterpiece as a bath-time companion. It is a mixture of dainty piano, smooth techno and haunting lyrics- plus, i just love the inclusion of artists from 1991-2009, which means that quite a few famous faces make their input: such as Coldplay, Primal Scream, Faithless, Fatboy Slim, Eric Prydz, Moby and Kid Cudi. Its a remix haven too, chilling and smoothing out music at every possible angle...and with three CDs of 21 tracks from a great variety of DJ, rock, indie and pop ... Read the complete review

Chilled II is the long awaited CD following on from the first in the series; M.O.S Chilled. In fact as of today, M.O.S Chilled II is the 3rd bestselling album/compilation on Amazon. About a week ago I saw the TV advertisement for this Album/compilation. I went out and bought it straight away as in the ad. I heard quite a few of my favourite songs. Its good value for money as well. Only £10 (on Amazon) for 62 songs, very good value for money from my point of view. However, not all the songs were as good as the ones shown on TV (coldplay trouble, etc.). Personally, I didn't think some of the other songs were up to much, but I suppose that they are ... Unusual and insightful blend of trance and psychedelic rock.
Heavy reliance on borrowed ideas, and the entire second half is a waste of time.

Great songs and performances

A fitting continuation to the music established in Trek II with a more thoughtful air
Cheap sound quality and overall lack of energy fails to retain momentum throughout
