Advantages: Loads of great songs

Disadvantages: Spoiled by a few bad ones

This is one of those albums which could have been an all time classic if smal faults had been fixed in them. I'm not saying for one second that this is a bad album but it does have some bad points and even though I'm a BIG Queen fan they still bug me a little.

The Miracle is full of classics which were featured on their Greatest Hits 2 compilation but the others really aren't of a the same quality. This might be because the good tracks are rock ones and the not so good ones aren't, they're more experimental.
I Want it All is a rock anthem and one of Queen's numerous famous songs and everyone should like this. The same oges for Breakthru and the slightly weird The Invisable Man. The Miracle is a great song itself with varying slow and fast parts, the latter of which feature Brian May throttling his guitar. The lyrics to the song are also very good. Scandal is probably the best Queen song that didn't make it on to GH2 but its also great. Was It All Worth It is another good one too, its got a great start and ending and its lyrics are meaningful. They give a bit of backgoround knowledge to Queen and this song is probably the band looking back over an extraordinary career.

In my opinion the bad songs are Party, Rain Must Fall and My Baby Does Me. The just don't represent the the way Queen have made their music over the last 25 odd years. it might just be my taste though.


I'd say this must be an album for big Queen fans since it has some really great songs on it but others are not so good. It might just be my taste, all of them are written and performed to a very high standard anyway. They just aren't my type of songs. If your a new Queen fan then buy the Greatest Hits compilations first.
