Advantages: Easily accesibly to anyone unknown to the genre, great to sit back and relax to

Disadvantages: Replay value is slightly questionable

This album was released in 1998 by two French musicians namely Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel. If you haven't listened to this album you may in fact be surprised by how many of the tracks you recognise. The album is a favourite for programmes concerning themselves with property development, so at some point you may see lawrence llewellyn bowen painting to the sound of La femme d'argent.

To the album in question, categorically a chillout album it is possibly the most famous of the genre, deservedly reaching number five in the United Kingdom album charts. The lead single from the album 'sexy boy' is undeniably awesome, lyrics entirely in French apart from 'sexy boy' the song encapsulates its title as it seems to take on a sexuality of its own. Despite this great tune the songs that really define this album are the songs that leave you floating somewhere between the clouds and orbit. Songs such as talisman and Le Voyage de Penelope which have layer upon layer that crescend into a gently undulating passage between treble and bass.

Summary: Another one of those must hear albums that is almost impossible to fault
