It's interesting to compare the early stuff like "Ring Ring" with, for example, "When all is said and done" and see how Bjorn and Benny's song writing has evolved over the years; from rather sugary pop to sensitive, meaningful lyrics that probably reflect their own lives (the failure of their own relationships). If you like Abba's hits and would like to hear some of their other lesser-known songs, then I recommend you buy this. ...more

This is a second-best Abba greatest hits, really. Nowhere near as good as Abba Gold. Of course they are brilliant songs. I'm a fan of early Abba, and absolutely love "Ring Ring", and I think "I do, I do, I do, I do, I do" is probably my favourite of all their songs. A simple pop song, and all the more beautiful for it. I am sure this record must have influenced Mike Batt and started ...

The title of this is a bit misleading, it infers that you'll be getting more Abba hits for your money. In fact quite a lot of the songs on here are album tracks or B- sides. I've recently heard that ABBA turned down a billion dollars for a 100-date tour. Having seen ABBA in concert, and having a particular dislike for this collection, "Forever Gold," I felt compelled to chime in with a review. If you're long-time fan, and have a decent ABBA collection, you've little reason to own - or to recommend - this repackage of "Gold," and (now deleted) "More ABBA Gold" to the casual fan, as you've hopefully gone all the way with the remasters, the box set, and perhaps, even the limited edition of "The Singles 1972-1982."For the afficionado merely seeking an ABBA package, there's way too much ...
