Motorhead is the debut release by Motorhead, whilst On Parole - an album they recorded the year before was actually their first material it was never actually released until 1979. Motorhead sounds raw, the production sounds a bit garagey and the music is noticeably different to later albums with a more bluesy sound eminating from the band. Vibrator sounds rather punky but the majority are just cool rock n roll numbers. The album was supposedly recorded in one sitting, the band had decided to split up and wanted Ted Carroll to record their last show but he instead offered them the chance to record a single, they went on to record 13 songs over the next 2 days. ...
