Advantages: Varied, very polished

Disadvantages: Unfocussed

Actually released in 1999, this album is a slow burning groundbreaking masterpiece that impresses with every listen. Featuring collaborations with DJ Rap, Adam Freeland, Sasha, Paul Van Dyk and Hybrid, the US-based trance musician has produced a polished piece of work. The one and only problem is that it tries to cover too many bases. After a couple of breakbeat-y tracks (Ride, with Sasha, is a standout), he moves to more familair territory. Mercury And Solace is a poignant vocal trancer, while Dreaming has a more rave-y edge to it. The last track, Satellite is also very good, but more or a soft rock anthem than anything else. The only real disappointment is Godspeed, which sounds a little too much like BT's own classic Flaming June for comfort.
Overall, an excellent piece of work which lacks the focus of earlier efforts, and is occasionally overshadowed by his collaborators.
