Advantages: Great voice., Great songs.

Disadvantages: Can be depressing., Album to short.

Music box was mariah careys fourth album and was released in 1993.I had never heard of her prior to this album but when I heard hero I knew she was making the sort of music I liked .Mariah has a very powerful voice and you can always tell when you hear a song of hers.In my opinion this is one of her best albums to date maybe it the fact that its full of ballads or the fact that you just wanna sing along to it or maybe just maybe its the way she sings.

1)Dreamlover.
Dreamlover is about dreaming of that perfect lover somebody who you know completly understands you and who knows you the best in the world somebody who wont just up and leave you.
2)hero.
Hero is about been scared of who you are but look deeper inside of you and you find that your the hero and know you can make it through whatever life throws at you.
3)Anytime you need a friend.
anytime you need a friend is about feeling like your the only person whos having problems but then a friend comes along and shows you the way to go .
4)Music box is about been in love and knowing the other person will be there for you no matter what there always there for you.
5)Ever been in a relationship and felt as the other person blows hot and cold well this is what this song is about thinking there playing games with you but finding out they do want you for who you are.
6)Never forgot you.
Never forget you is about losing somebody you really loved and not been able to tell them you love them and knowing that now its to late to say anything you wanted to say all your left with are memories and wanting them back but knowing its to late.
7)Without you.
This song is a cover of nelsons without you but mariah makes it her own its a gut wrenching song and can be heartbreaking its about a relationship ending and feeling like its the end of the world and that you are unable to live without them in your life.
8)Just to hold you once again.
This is another song about a relationship breaking down and you still wanting them to be with you but they dont want to know they dont even want to be friends and feeling that your the one to blame but knowing you would do anything they wanted you to.
9)I've been thinking about you.
This song is very upbeat its about been friends with somebody for a long time but then one day you realize you want to be with them and realizing your in love with them imagining things you should not be.
10)All i've ever wanted.
This song is been in love with somebody who does not even notice you but you want them so bad you imagine what it would be like to be with them and the feeling been so strong that you tell them.
Bonus track)Everything fades away.
This song is about a relationship break up where one person wanted out but the other didnt and telling the other person what your feeling for them to stand in your face and just reject you.

I felt I could relate to these songs a lot maybe because i have liked people who rejected me or felt like my world would collapse without them(what a fool) but I have to admit as I have aged this album is still one of my favorite albums although I cant really relate to the songs anymore.My favorite songs are music box,never forget you,just to hold you once again and everything fades away.I hope you enjoyed this review.
