After the two disappointments that were Dynasty and Unmasked, Kiss went back to the drawing board for their next release. Obviously fed up with 3 minute wonders, Paul and Gene decided to create what they described at the time to be 'the heaviest ablum ever'. This album however only made it to the demo stage and instead they enlisated the help of Bob Ezrin once more to try and recreate the feeling that 'Destroyer' had.
