I bought season 1 of the OC on DVD without ever watching an episode because everyone had told me how good it was. I loved it and after I had watched all of the episodes I actually felt sad and a bit lost. That is when I decided to buy the album so I could continue my obsession. I am going to now give you a run down of all the songs on the album and my opinions on them all. Track 1 - South 'Paint the Silence': Fantastic chilled out track. The singing sounds as if it’s echoing and also to me sounds a bit muffled to give it a very easy listening feel. Being completely obsessed with the television show “The O.C” (mainly that Seth Cohen…drool) it was inevitable I was going to run out and buy the soundtrack as soon as it was released. There is just something about the music that is played in that show. In a word the music is just brilliant! The music also isn’t typically what you’d expect to hear on American teen dramas. You know, like the tracks played on shows such as Dawson’s Creek. You know what I’m talking about, melodramatic country singers with whiny voices singing about lurve.
