My December - Kelly Clarkson

Four years ago Kelly Clarkson became American Idol's first winner. She has since gone on to release three albums, Her debut album Thankful, second album Breakaway and this her third entitled My December. Whilst Thankful experimented with different styles this new album from the Texan reveals a rockier sound hinted at on her second release Breakaway. 1.) As previously I had not been a fan of Kelly Clarkson but of her rockier single releases I decided that it was time I invested in an album rather than just downloading tracks or copying an album from a friend. My December is Kelly Clarkson's third studio album. Development as a singer/songwriter always seems to have a bit of hit and miss, especially when you're the product of a huge talent show such as American Idol, as Kelly is. Having featured in the very manufactured sound her previous two albums, you can see the maturity finally coming through in a lot of the composition here.
