Four years ago Kelly Clarkson became American Idol's first winner. She has since gone on to release three albums, Her debut album Thankful, second album Breakaway and this her third entitled My December. Whilst Thankful experimented with different styles this new album from the Texan reveals a rockier sound hinted at on her second release Breakaway. 1.) Never Again starts the album off with a catchy guitar part and then the orchestration comes in with thumping drums and Kelly's full pelt vocals are used to good effect, the track then develops with a harder guitar break. A very fine song to start of the album. 2.) One Minute brings the album away a ... Read the complete review

As previously I had not been a fan of Kelly Clarkson but of her rockier single releases I decided that it was time I invested in an album rather than just downloading tracks or copying an album from a friend. So I made use of my amazon vouchers and bought it, and yesterday it arrived and went straight in to my car The first single from My December was Never Again and I have to admit it was the reason I bought the cd. After hearing the trakc on several occasions on the radio usually while driving to work it appealed to me in the same whay Miss Independant (from Thankful) and Since You Been Gone, and Breakaway (from Breakaway) did. After an initial ... Read the complete review

My December is Kelly Clarkson's third studio album. Development as a singer/songwriter always seems to have a bit of hit and miss, especially when you're the product of a huge talent show such as American Idol, as Kelly is. Having featured in the very manufactured sound her previous two albums, you can see the maturity finally coming through in a lot of the composition here. Raw passion and emotion seem to be the order of the day from the off, with Never Again almost seeming like we as listeners are being attacked as much as the subject of the lyrics. It's passionate and bitter, but effective. It grabs your attention and makes you want to listen to more - a ... Read the complete review

2005-2006 saw Kelly Clarkson take over the world. The pop-rock sound of her international breakthrough record 'Breakaway' earned her millions of new fans and even more sales. With hits like 'Since U Been Gone' and 'Because Of You', under her belt she had established herself as more than just another reality TV show winner, thrown to the sharks in a bid to add more money to Simon Cowell's pockets. Writing the follow up to such a huge record, is always difficult and most artists tend to fail though Kelly Clarkson decided to build on the foundations already laid down on 'Breakaway' and produce something that was more what she wanted. The result is her third ... Read the complete review

Recently released, My December is Ms Clarkson’s third album release and though much anticipated has received extremely bad reviews from critics and the media, ultimately resulting in low sale tickets in America. But is the album really as bad as it seems to be? **WHO IS KELLY CLARKSON?** Well Kelly Clarkson was the winner of the very first Pop Idol in the USA way back in 2003 and since winning her crown released her first major album release ‘Thankful’. **THANKFUL** Released shortly after her glory, Thankful was ultimately a pre-recorded album written by your average ‘pop’ songwriters who must sit at their computers reeling ... Products similar to My December - Kelly Clarkson
Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs! - HelloGoodbye
Fantastic use of keyboard throughout the album, excellent vocals.
If you don't like one, chances are you won't like any.
The Scream - Siouxsie and the Banshees
Original for its time, highly influential
Certainly not to everyone's tastes.....
The Room's Too Cold - Early November
Hardcore - 2003
Teknowhore - Bile
More atmospheric and compelling than the previous album.
Some bizarre commercial deviations that don't sit well, and generally overlong and tedious.
Io Sono Nato Libero - Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso
Higher production values and continuation of the classical style.
Structural problems from the first album are back in full force, spoiling all songs to some extent.
Illumination - Paul Weller
Very romantic, includes the song "It's Written in the Stars"
Not all of the songs are as good
Grind Bastard - Benediction
Catchy, riff-driven death metal, with some interesting classic rock/metal covers.
Sound is repetitive, and the album perhaps lasts a little too long for its style.
Coronation Thieves - Dragons of Zynth
Pop - 2007
Blindside - Blindside
A less aggro-centric Slipknot with slightly more musical ability.
Nothing original, merely an obvious smorgasbord of influence.
