Advantages: Sober, Never again, Dont Waste your time

Disadvantages: The rest of the album is quite forgettable

Kelly Clarkson being the first American Idol winner has in the UK in the past few years been regarded as one of the biggest female artists of recent times although last year that all changed, this year whilst Rhianna,Pink and Mariah Carey have been selling huge numbers as well as the international mega hit artists Leona Lewis, Kelly has whilst been in obscurity after her second album Breakaway spawned off 6 major hit singles, gave her two grammy awards and millions of album sales all around the globe as well as approval of Clive Davis (someone really important in the music industry) and hit after hit.

This third album, Kelly described was more ''her'' and Kelly said this is more ''real and more me''. It isnt like the first and second album full of catchy and mega hit stompers and pop songs it is rather an album that is quite cohesive and also it's defintely more Kelly in my opininon. It doesnt have a Since U Been Gone o anything although Never Again does come close to that. Because of You and Behind These Hazel Eyes type of songs are also not there, instead we have the atmopsheric amazing Sober that's not pop but it's a spectacular song especially the vocal at the end.

It's well known that Clive Davis and Simon Cowell fought with Kelly to instead of using these tracks that she co wrote etc and with this rock type vibe to instead buy tracks like Breakaway for the album. He said it wouldflop, and it did. I dont think it's that bad of a album, it's defintely a pop album but more of a authentic album where you can the artist is more comfortable

Never Again is really catchy, but it's no Since U Been Gone. I didnt like the much to that. One Minute i found quite good, it has a good vibe. Hole was slightly underwheming. Sober is amazing, it didnt do well in the charts but deserved to. Don't Waste Your Time is probably the best song on the album, and it was the song that they used to try and ressurect the album but it failed because it was too late, i like that song ALOT. Judas is quite original. Haunted, Be Still, Maybe . are quite ordinary and abit expiermental which i didnt like. Asides from Irvine i thought the rest of album was slightly average

It's a good album, but i think it didnt work the plan and even Kelly now admits to this that next album she will take Clive's advice. I was so curious how this would sound. The first half of the album is really good - very Avril Lavigne and rocky but i think Kelly's a pop artist and should stick to that.
