Britney Spears Most people have heard of Britney Spears and her recent public breakdown which seems to go on and on with her in the news most weeks. Personally I think everyone should leave her alone she is obviously is having a hard time (which most people go through at some point in their lives) and she should be taken out of the public eye until she is well again. Anyway I'm here to review her Greatest Hits Album. I will review each track individually, giving the track time and my mark out of 5. * My Prerogative: (3.33) 3/5 This song is about Britney and how people can't tell her what to do. She says everyone's talking about her and why wont ... Read the complete review

*BRITNEY SPEARS GREATEST HITS* Lordy, it's hard to believe that Britney has been around long enough to have a greatest hits, even in this day and age of the standard of having three albums then releasing a greatest hits before fading into obscurity. Alas, here Britney is (hopefully not following the same pattern) with a 20 song compilation that serves to remind us all just how many amazing hits she has racked up in her relatively short career. The year now is 2008, which will mark the 10 year anniversary since the release of Britney's first mega hit single (with accompanying notorious video) Baby One More Time. The song started a pop phenomenon that ... Read the complete review

Robbie has one. Kylie has a really big one and Madonna has had two of them. I am, of course, talking about Greatest Hits collections. Christmas may only come once per year, but just as December 25th inevitably equals turkey and stuffing, you can bet your bottom dollar that the charts will be flooded with variations on the cash cow that is a singles collection. To my mind, a greatest hits compilation should mean something. Such an album usually means that the recording artist(s) career is long over and the disc is a celebration of the finest points of his/her musical output. It’s a bit of a reminiscence; a walk down memory lane. Sadly, in the ... Read the complete review

Well first of all can I just say 'EEEK' at the front cover. Hardly A CD a lot of parents would want their children to boast as part of their collection... Britney Spears. Chances are every person on the planet has heard of her. I'm not exactly a huge fan of the woman herself but I won't deny that she has given us some of the best pop songs of the last ten years though rarely given credit for her music and focused on a lot more for her erratic behaviour, high profile relationships or skimpy videos this CD combines all of her hit singles [with a few extras] since 1999 - 2004, which already makes it sort of dated considering she released a new studio album last ... I have just received this album through the post after ordering it on HMV.com for a bargain £6.99, well £6.29 with student discount! The only downside I have found so far is the CD isn't in a plastic case but a cardboard sleeve instead but for this bargain price who's complaining?? I'm listening to it as I write this review and it is truly excellent pop! ~~The songs~~ 1. My Prerogative 7/10 Originally a single for Bobby Brown in 1988, Britney released this in November 2001. It went to number 3 in the UK singles chart. I like this song but not one of her best if you ask me. The song is a bit ... Read the complete review
