Before Paul Schaefer proclaimed his Late Night musician group the world's most dangerous band, there was N.W.A. Although in their brief career together Niggaz With Attitude - Eazy-E, MC Ren, Yella, Dr. Dre and Ice Cube - only recorded two albums and one EP (1989's Straight Outta Compton with Ice Cube, and 1991's 100 Miles And Runnin' and 1992's EFIL4ZAGGIN without him), their impact is immeasurable. With the invention of gangsta rap, the crew in black Raiders hats revolutionized hip-hop music and simultaneously earned respect for the West Coast in the rap world with their harrowing tales of life in their hometown of Compton, California. While each member would eventually go on to some individual success, it was as a collective that rap's original Fab 5 was at its ferocious best. All their classics are here, including "Fuck Tha Police," "Real Niggaz" and `Always Into Somethin'," to name a few, along with live show snippets (including a stellar performance of "Compton's In The House") and unreleased skits, which distinguish the record as more than a typical greatest hits package.
