Poor old Derrick and company. People just can't seem to get over the fact that M*x C*v*l*r* has left Sepultura, which is sad because the post-M*x Sepultura produces tight, hard-rocking, intelligent songs. Which is a perfect antidote to M*x's "new", and mostly reprehensible effort - Soulfly (Christ, they even had Fred Durst on one of their albums). Any band that can get Jello Biafra to sing and write a song for their album has to be great, and Sepultura IS great. This album is full of anti-corruption messages and hopes of unity for the world. Look, its been five years now since Max Cavalera quit the Sepultura fold so let's not dwell on the past but instead concentrate on the musical bombshell that Sepultura Mark 2 have just let off. You see Derrick Green and Co. have delivered the album they always promised they would after the 'Max Saga' - and some. Okay, '98's 'Against' - despite its moments - wasn't consistently good, but with 'Nation', Sepultura have unleashed a bastard heavy album that spits venom, pulverises and crushes your bollocks - hard. 'Nation' is an album that has attitude stamped all over it. It is an album that gives the middle ... Read the complete review
