Greatest Hits 1986-1996 - Poison

Premium Review Nothin' But A Good Time (1020 words)
by Lizzy8 - written on 07/02/06 (Very useful, 517 readings)
Rating:

you were spoiled for choice. You had Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Guns N Roses, Motley Crue, Aerosmith, and, of course - Poison. Formerly known as Paris, Poison was formed in 1984 by singer Bret Michaels, bassist Bobby Dall, and drummer Rikki Rockett. After traveling from Harrisburg, PA, to Los Angeles, CA, the band added guitarist C.C. Deville to their lineup. Like most bands of the time, Poison had their ups and downs, for every major success there were also disappointments, but the band kept going, kept making great music, and to this day they are still together, while most of the other bands fell apart. The music was glam rock at its very finest, yet despite all the bad press Poison were given, even on this first album nestled a tell tale sign that the boys were about more than just sex and ...

A great new sound and approach from simply one of the best bands of our time! None- could this get any better? Okay, a couple of tracks might sound better live but still.....

Heavy Metal - 2000

More energetic and powerful metal performance than the last E.P. Less material.

Great songs, brilliant guitar tunes, fun! None.

Includes a great live album and almost all the B-sides from a 20-year career. Expensive, frustratingly repetitive, incomplete and out of date.
