Neon Nights - Dannii Minogue

Dannii Minogue, younger sister of Kylie often criticised for living in her shadow, came up trumps with one of the finest pop albums ever in Neon Nights. After a succession of flops throughout most of the 90s, Dannii turned it around and carved out her own name and identity with the Neon Nights era. She guested on trance act Riva's instrumental track in 2001 and it emerged as 'Who Do You Love Now', which became a top 3 hit. What's she on, this one. Dannii Minogue. A woman so distraught by her sister's success that she would pierce her nipples on live tv to get an airing. Or so the press would have us believe anyway. She hates her sister, she loves her, she hates her, she loves her. None of this has ever been remotely hinted at by the women themselves. 1. PUT THE NEEDLE ON IT- This was the second song to be released from this album. It is a song which could be considered a mix of dance and pop together. It is quite slow but still has the dance beat. Most of this album has computer type sounds to make up the noises which are very different and there is some interesting music. This begins with Dannii saying the title a lot then the music starts slowly and she says it like record that is skipping. The singing is quite good not many people?s voices would fit perfectly with this but hers does so maybe that is why she chose this particular sound for the album.
