Advantages: Some excellent hits in the album and very well produced in general.

Disadvantages: Songs can sound quite similar at times.

Nevermind by Nirvana is the second album that was released by the band and it really is exceptional! It was released in October 2001 and has acheieved being 10 times Platinum, which really shows its popularity. I bought this CD for £9 from HMV but you can now get it for £5 from Amazon which really is a great deal. This really is an excellent album and if you havn't heard it before I would recommend it.

The album features 12 tracks including many hits such as the famous "Smells like teen spirit" which has an excellent guitar riff at the start and the chours is very catchy indeed. The album has a very 'Grunge' genre to it and I find it to be very vibrant and exciting music to listen to in general. "Come as you are" is another fantastic song which again features a brilliant initial guitar riff which takes us through to the end of the song with a really good chorus also.

"Lithium" is an excellent song which has a slow tempo introduction with some powerful lyrics and then it really builds up to create a very vibrant chorus. I really like "Polly" which has a very acoustic style which provides vareity to the album and has some beautiful lyrics. "Lounge act" and "Stay away" have a very Grunge style to them and have excellent main melodies which are catchy. Many people would argue that the songs sound very similar and I believe that this is true in some ways however, there are some variations between the songs which adds interest to the song.

I really feel that this is an excellent album and that it is well worth the money and so I would really recommend it. There are some excellent hits on the album including "Smells like teen spirit" and "Come as you are" which make this well worth getting. I hope this was useful and thank you very much for reading.
