i don't care what anyone says. NFG are one of the best new punk bands around at the moment. People say they are to pop but they aren't. They are the new generation of punk, and people love them. They combine some amazing guitar work with solid drumming topped with a layer of glossy sweet punk lyrics. Songs like 'Eyesore' and 'Better Off Dead' show that NFG have what it takes. They are as infectious as they get!! And that is what i want to hear at teh moment. They could be the new Blink 182...the new Green Day...the new OFFSPRING!! they just need to lose the critics and show them that they are more than anyone ever expected. And i think that this ... New Found Glory are a pop punk band from Florida, USA with a massive energy both on and off the stage. This album was released in 2000 on Drive Thru Records, my favourite record label. They have had some bits of mainstream success, having released six albums, whilst remaining a so called 'credibilty' to punk and hardcore fans (well I think anyway!). Ever since they formed back in 1997, the band has consisted of Jordan Pundik (vocals), Chad Gilbert (guitar, backing vocals), Steve Klein (guitar), Ian Grushka (bass) and Cyrus Bolooki (drums) for the majority of its existence. Whilst still in their teens, they signed that record deal with Drive Thru ... Read the complete review

'New Found Glory' is the self-titled second album from the great pop punk band that is New Found Glory. 'New Found Glory' is an album which contains some of my favourite New Found Glory songs of all time and never do I tire of listening to this one. The album was released in the year 2000 through Drive-Thru Records, it contains twelve tracks and this therefore provides for 36 minutes of music. It's packed full of fun and never is there a dull moment here as all five members of New Found Glory thrash through this album with great energy and enthusiasm. In terms of highlights here then you need look no further than 'Better off Dead', 'Dressed to Kill', 'Hit or ... Read the complete review

INTRO : Who here is a punk fan? Do you think that the new wave of punk (Blink 182, Mest, Sum 41 etc) is crap? are you dedicated only to old skool punk (Bad Religion, Rancid and other old bands that are still going)?? Well either way, you are going to be in for a surprise with this band. They are, as far as anyone is concerned, a new skool punk band. But they aren't loke Blink or Sum 41. They can't be compared to these bands in their musical style, because they sound nothing like any of the above mentioned. They are like no other punk band. they have their own musical style and sense, and they are better for it. if they had tried to sound like Blink or ... Read the complete review

This is one excellent self-titled album from one great band. New Found Glory by New Found Glory is one of the best albums that I have EVER heard, and has 12 great songs on it. This album has 12 happy, upbeat, feel good, punk rock songs that are bound to change whatever mood into a happy one. Better Off Dead: This is a great opening song that lets you know that you are in for one great album. On the heffmester music scale this song gets eight ^ out of ten ^. Dressed to Kill: Wow, yet another great happy song that really follows on great from the first song and reassures you that you bought a great album. The heffmester scale gives it eight ^ out ... No Reply - Daylight Dies
Pleasant moments.
Very dull.
Nihility - Decapitated
Heavier.
Less tolerable.
Pieces - Dismember
Old-school Swedish death metal from the masters.
Only five songs plus a worthless intro.
Projector - Dark Tranquillity
Bold and successful change of direction (if temporary).
Very little to appeal to long-time fans.
Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia - Dimmu Borgir
Nice orchestra...
...shame about the band (well, except the drummer).
Rapture - Dragonlord
Fair forgery of the symphonic black metal style.
No original ideas, and dull execution.
Riders Of The Apocalypse - Demonoid
More great Swedish death metal.
No ideas of its own.
Scream Bloody Gore - Death
Strong debut, with great guitars.
Comparatively weak drums, and tendency towards repetition.
Sign Of Truth - Dionysus
More fun power metal, with great production from Tobias Sammet.
Nothing new here.
Redemption - Divine Empire
The best elements of death metal.
All taken from other bands.
