Under the Iron Sea is K Keane s follow-up album to their well received 2004 debut album, Hopes & Fears and whilst it is unmistakably Keane, at the same time it sounds different. The album sounds bigger and somewhat braver than their previous offering - but bigger doesn t always mean better... I d class myself as Keane fan, I enjoyed their first album and I ve seen them live twice, but after a week of listening to Under the Iron Sea , for me at least, there are just not as many high points as on Hopes & Fears .
