Nihility (Nihility - Decapitated)
Member Name: Frankingsteins
Advantages: Heavier. Disadvantages: Less tolerable.
The second release from Poland's Decapitated seems intent on being more brutal than its predecessor, and just like Behemoth and other bands obsessed with one-upmanship in the heaviness department, it suffers as a result. Whether the muddy production was intentional or not, the drums are far too foregrounded to afford any focus on the other instruments, and if you're not a fan of hearing drums pound away in various rhythms for thirty minutes, however talented and creative the young Vitek may be, it's going to count against it. Summary: Decapitated's second album (2002). |
