A great Green Day album (Nimrod - Green Day)
Member Name: mousedadrummer
Advantages: Brilliant songs Disadvantages: None Nimrod was the 5th release from punk rock band Green Day and came out in 1997. The album follows Insomniac and Dookie as there first two albums released on a major label and as with every Green Day album has a slightly different sound. The band have introduced new instruments such as accordians, harmonica and horns. A big first for the band is the inclusion of the track "Good Riddance" a soft acoustic guitar song that was met with different views when the album came out. Some people did not like the fact that Green Day, considered one of the top punk rock bands had written a song that you mum would like, a song that could be peoples "prom song" as Tre said. Overall, this is a brillant album as usual by Green Day, although I have to say that being a fan. Some of the best songs of the bands career including Good Riddance and Hitchin a Ride feature on this CD so its a must have for any Green Day fan! Summary: An album every Green Day fan should own |
