Nine Lives - Aerosmith: Aerosmith at their good but not quite best (268 words)

Having for a few years now been into Aerosmiths best of album BIG ONES I decided that it was about time that I picked up their newest of offerings as soon as it was released. Nine Lives was released back in 2001 and saw the group trying out what for many people was somewhat of a different sound from what we had heard from them previously. So what is on it and does it all work? Nine Lives Falling In Love (Is Hard On The Knees) Hole In My Soul Taste Of India Full Circle Something's Gotta Give Ain't That A Bitch The Farm Crash Kiss Your Past Good-bye Pink Falling Off Attitude ...  Read the complete review

Not bad first time But... (262 words)

This is not a bad album seeing as I picked up some strange version for a fiver from a record sale in Scotland and my version didn't have 'Don't Wanna Close My Eyes' on it (I think that's what it's called?). Well I was never keen on that track anyway. The song that made me want to buy this album was 'Pink' even though now I think that it is one of the worst singles that Aerosmith ever released. The best song on the album for me after carefull consideration would have to be 'Fallen Angels' because it is the most tunefull and cleverly written. I thought this album was great at first when I bought it because I had ...  Read the complete review

I think we mortal men should bow the the excelnce of mr Tyler (well maybee not but he is very cool!) he is now mid 50's and still knows how to rock! I am a big Aerosmith fan and find it hard not to like everything they have done, and I do like this albim but I don't think it's the best they have done but no one said it was supposed to be! I saw them twice on the Nine Lives tour and they were great I saw them in Manchester and Birmingham and the performance was amazing the mans vocal tallents are outstanding. The main reason I did this oppinion was to urge anyonwe who has only got or heard this record and liked it to go forth and buy ...  Read the complete review

Alrighty then you wanna buy an album, ok Mr Tyler isnt the most attractive of singers, so you wouldnt by it for the byband factor. What you might buy it for is the best music that Aerosmith have brought out. This album has many of the best songs that they have ever done the newer version well you've got the bonous of the Armeggedon track. The best song on the track has to be pink, I think it made top ten in the british charts but never stayed there for long. And well the only way I can describe it as knee slapping and foot stamping, maybe you get the odd bit of moshing in there. My personal opinion: Falling in love - excellent Hole in my ...  Read the complete review
