Advantages: A fantastic debut album

Disadvantages: not a album to listen to when feeling a bit down

There are lots of reviews of this album track by track on the sight so this really is my opinion of the album as a whole and discussion on a couple of my favourite tracks.

This album has to be one of my all time favourites. though I must say that it is not an album to listen to when you are feeling a little bit down. The only really up beat track is one of the first singles to be released "Thank you". This was the track that Eminem sampled. The rest of the album really does have a "sad" quality to it and many of the songs relate to failed relationships and unhappy times in her life.

Probably my favourite track on the album is also one of the saddest. The track called Isobel is a fantastic story telling track. It tells of the disappearance of her friend and is proported to be about isobel having an abortion. Dido's voice on this track is very haunting and really does bring goose bumps to the back of your neck.

The album is quite easy to listen to in a musical way as Dido's voice is very gentle and soothing but some of the lyrics are quite hard hitting. This was fantastic debut album and in many ways it is a shame it was so good but I don't think any subsequent album has lived up to the quality of this one.
