This was the first CD album I ever bought. The Cranberries released this album way back in 1994. It has some classic songs on the album and is a really beautiful album. Dolores O'Riordan the lead singer has a bewitching voice and that really captivates the listener. Here is what I make of each song: 1. Ode To My Family - A very nice start to the album. Soft melody and beautiful lyrics. And a great vocal performance. 8/10 2. I Can't be With You - A more upbeat song. This was one of my favorite songs of the 90's. No Need to Argue Like another Irish chanteuse Dolores O Riordan has a very distinctive voice which is again both a strength and weakness capturing the hearts of some and driving away others. I feel this album was their strong point, a more mature creation than Everyone Else… and far less laboured than To the Faithful Departed. But this is not a happy happy joy joy album, many of its tracks are emotional trials, I dont think anyone will disagree wiht that statement. The growing maturity and confidence of the band is shown in the georgeous first track Ode to my Family where Delores floats warbling above the rest of the band who conjour up ...
