No substance was the 10 full studio album from the punk band bad religion. While it does contain some pretty good songs, all of the songs on it are pretty average and nothing really stands out too much on this album, a bit like a lot of there other material when they have all been pretty good songs but they fail to have some really good tracks, much unlike their fourth album no control which was just brilliant. The experimental edge that proved so successful in the early nineties (and so dreadful in the early eighties) resurfaces to mixed success, but it all makes for a much more satisfying album than a mere retread of 'Stranger Than Fiction' that the record company would likely have been even happier to put out. Brian Baker continues to prove that he's ... Read the complete review
