Nemi - Soundtrack

This a wonderful compilation featuring some of the most influential bands of the last 25 years. People who love goth will undoubtably love it, but perhaps more importantly, there is plenty to offer people who have little or no interest in the gothic scene - this is what sets this release above and apart from the many other compilations on the market. OK it has some classic goth releases from The Sisters, Bauhaus etc. but also has recordings from bands that are often overlooked such as The March Violets and The Virgin Prunes which will come as unexpected pleasures to the mildly curious listener. It was a mere three years ago when I was almost completely igonrant of goth music and then I brought this compilation. Now I realise most people aren't suddenly going to click and say "wow, its just what I've been looking for" but for me it marked somewhat of a turning point in my buying habits. It is the unfortunate fact that when most people think about goth music they generally think of the Sisters Of Mercy and only the Sisters Of Mercy.
