I was left gobsmacked a few days ago when I 'met' somebody who had not heard of the Nolans. I couldn't believe it was even a possibility nowadays - they're the topic of conversation wherever you turn. Whether you watch TV or listen to music more, I'd have thought everybody had heard of them! I personally adore the Sisters; their music is amazing! I wish I was old enough at the time to enjoy their hits as and when they were released, or even wish I was born at the time! I've found people don't seem to like admitting to their liking for the Nolans, and I cannot see why - they're fantastic through and through. I think they're amazing, and I don't hold back when it comes to admitting it!

In my quest to discover all of the Nolans songs, I went in search of their CDs. In the end I found three of their albums which would give me all of their releases, with some several times. Among the three is 'Making Waves'. Before I looked at the track list, it was actually the cover that attracted me to this particular album. The other Nolan albums have a single picture of the Sisters, whereas this one has a few different pictures tastefully displayed in a layer. It's definitely eye catching, and although it is not as girlie and pink as the other albums I bought, it still drew me in straight away.

You'll find that the album is split into two disks, the first with thirteen tracks and the second with twelve, giving the album a total of twenty five amazing Nolans songs. Scanning the list, I found I'd only previously heard of a few of them. So I was looking forward to discovering some new magic! Now I wont talk about each and every track, as I feel it would be a nice surprise for you to discover their wonders yourself, but I'll mention a few of my favourites...

The first track on this album, as with the other two albums I bought ("Disco Hits" and "Best of...") is none other than I'm In The Mood For Dancing. This is the single song that everybody seems to think of whenever the Nolans are mentioned, it's definitely their most-known track. Indeed it is very catchy and lively, there's no surprise that people love it. You're bound to hear it being played at every disco and party you will ever go to, and it will not damped the evening by far! It's a wonderful track and I'll never tire of it.
Lyrics: "I'm in the mood for dancing, romancing..."

Don't Make Waves is track fifteen, or track two on the second disk. I'd already heard this one via youtube, but the version was crackly and not too clear so I was looking forward to hearing a proper version. I must say, I was thrilled with this! It's quite a gentle track, but at the same time has a good steady beat to it. It's not one that is too well known but I feel that the word should be spread with this one - it's amazing!Lyrics: "And you don't believe me, and you're in too deep!"

On disk two, the eighth track is Attention to Me. This is on all three of the Nolans albums I purchased, and thankfully it is one of my favourite songs. It's quite lively and quick paced with a strong rhythm. It's another than I feel is underrated, and should be played more often outwith my own bedroom!
Lyrics: "Scream and shout like a witch voodoo...!"

A final song that I love is All The King's Horses, which can be found on disk one, track seven. I'd not heard this one previously and I found it was only on the one album, so I wasn't too sure what to expect - was it going to be a letdown? Surprisingly, it is one of the most amazing songs in the entire world of music. It has now become my ultimate favourite Nolans song - and that is quite a special role! It's very catchy with an upbeat tempo, and within ten minutes I knew the lyrics by heart. Not a day goes by when I don't listen to this!
Lyrics: "All the kings horses and all the king's men, couldn't put my broken heart together again!"

Those are just four of the delights this album has to offer. With a further twenty one tracks to discover, you can guarantee well over an hour of fun and music! Having two disks, you'd expect this to be quite pricey. However, it's not at all! You can purchase this from Amazon.co.uk for for £10 and £13 from HMV.com. That's as little as 40p for a song, much cheaper than downloads! It is definitely worth the money!

This is a delightful album and I have no regrets purchasing whatsoever. It's definitely helped me open my eyes to a whole new world of music, and I'll never look back now!
