Advantages: The songs, original sounds

Disadvantages: some odd/random lyrics

Not Accepted Anywhere is the debut album from Welsh four-piece The Automatic. Prior to their album they released three singles, all included on the album: Recover, Raoul and Monster. These three singles lay great foundations out for the rest of the album which is one that may take awhile to get into but then becomes one to listen to over and over.

If you have not yet seen The Automatic live then i definitely recommend it. They are possibly the best live band i have seen and they send the crowd wild. With support from the biggest rock magazine, NME we can expect the Automatic to furthur their career.

Track by track:

1. "That's What She Said": This is a great track to start the album. It has a general upbeat to it with a very memorable chorus and riffs

2."Raoul": This was their second single to release. It starts off with a great bit of vocals before it goes straight into an excellent chorus. This is one of the best sing-a-long songs on the album

3."You Shout You Shout You Shout": This song is one of my favourites and starts off with an outstanding tune before going into vocals with excellent background guitars. The chorus will send you wild with excellent drum beats

4."Recover": This was their original debut single and definitely must have sent some good vibes about the band. It is a very catchy song and could send you jumping round the room.

5."Monster": This song was released just before the album and has definitely become an anthem. Everytime they play this live it sends the crowd absolutely screaming. It has a very nice intro before going into some steady vocals. But no fear, the screaming and shouting is just around the corner with the excellent chorus.

6."Lost At Home": This song starts with a great drum riff and some vocals. This is one of the slower songs but this is no negative point. It still has a great tune and some great guitar riffs along with the vocals

7."Keep Your Eye's Peeled": This song no doubt has a great tune but is a bit repetitive with 2 verses and chorus which is then all repeated twice. However it saves you having to listen to the song again because im sure you would want to after listening to this song. It will make you jump up and maybe do some air guitar (or maybe its just me)

8."Seriously...I Hate You Guys": This song starts with a nice guitar riffs before going into an impressive verse and then a stunning chorus which will get you singing along no doubt.

9."On The Campaign Trail": This song starts quickly into a great mix of instruments and vocals and then to a nice short chorus which isn't as screamy as the others.

10."Team Drama": This song is one of my favourites with a great, loud chorus and some great guitar riffs and vocals

11."By My Side": This has a great electro-style intro before going into a nice drum and guitar mix and then some vocals with an outstanding chorus which includes thought-provoking lyrics.

12."Rats": This is a great end to the album and sort of winds down the album. It does have some memorable versus' and chorus. It isn't as fast as the other songs but gives good flavour to the album

Summary: A great album although the lyrics maybe aren't so great but there is no doubt that the tunes and actual music is outstanding.

Summary: outstanding

They're from my home town of Cowbridge in South Wales and went to my school (albeit over 10 years after I did!) It's not a bad album at all.

despite your description of the individual tracks, I am still left not knowing what the band really sound like, its all a bit vague.
