'Nothing Gold Can Stay' is the first studio album that New Found Glory ever released as a band. The record emerged in 1999 through Drive-Thru Records and is I feel an absolutely excellent début album from the band. This is not the best New Found Glory album that there is and the production is certainly not great; there are however a number of excellent pop punk tracks that feature here and always the bands music provides for an extremely positive and upbeat overall listening experience. From first track 'Hit Or Miss' right through to closing anthem 'The Goodbye Song' the music really is very strongly put across by the band here. 'Hit Or Miss' is actually one ... Nothing gold can stay is the first album from the American punk pop band new found glory. It contains some really great songs and its no wonder this album managed to propel them into the limelight and that they had such a great career after its release. The first song is one of my favourites off the album, the singing is fairly raw, as it is in most the songs but I like this. You can tell his voice hasn't been edited at all and as he already has an amazing voice he really doesn't need it any way so it adds to the bands what was then a kind of raw new on the scene punk-ness. it's a really fast song with great guitar parts all the way through and really quick ... INTRO: Having released 'It's All About The Girls' [EP] in 1997, and toured it relentlasly [sp?], in 1999 New Found Glory felt it was the right time to release their first full length cd. It was just before they made this cd that they signed with Drive-Thru Records, meaning that they had a bit of freedom in making the cd, which as it turns out, was a very good move, because New Found Glory made teh right moves, and ended up with a magnificent cd!! Hey Guess What? I'm doing am opinion on a band that i really like so it is going to be very bias, i thought i'd just warn you of that. This is the Bands first proper full length album. I personally think it is done very well. The album is released through "indie" label Drive Thru records and produced by the band themselves which is why the album sounds more raw. The album makes its mark with the catchy and fast song "Hit Or Miss" (which was later re-done and put on their self titled album). A good track which is catchy vocally, lyrically and musically (are these words? :) ). 'Passing Time' and 'never ... Read the complete review

The OC - Mix 2 - Soundtrack
Great mixture of songs, represents "The O.C" but in a totally different way to mix 1, there's a really cute picture of Seth on the cover
Songs, which possibly weren't that memorable, made the cut as apposed to songs, which stuck with the viewer, such as Jeff Buckley, Rooney and Aqualung
The Libertines - Libertines
Good Follow up, Excellent Guitar riffs, decent vocals for the most part

Mistaken Identity - Delta Goodrem
Contains the same strengths as the previous album and stays true to Delta's style
Not all of the tracks are great and some sound like rip-offs of the better tracks

great music

Demon Days - Gorillaz
Lots of genres, mish mash of electronic and acoustic, very different.
