Now That's What I Call Classical is a CD featuring various classical artists. The CD is from the same makers of the 'Now That's What I Call Music'. The CD was released in 2011 and so it is fairly recent. This CD is available to buy from Amazon for a price of £10.87 which I do think is quite expensive, considering that you can get brand new Cds for much cheaper these days. Rather than list the whole track listing, I will tell you just some of the songs and artists on this album (which stand out for me). You Raise Me Up - Aled Jones World In Union - Hayley Westerna Allegretto - Myleene Klass Time To Say Goodbye - Katherine Jenkins Land of My Fathers - Fron Male Voice Choir Nella Fantasia - Russell Watson Pie Jesu - The Priests Jerusalem - Choir of Westminster Somewhere - Il Divo Whilst I wouldn't say classical is my favourite genre of music, I do like it to an extent. I love Classical Crossover music and that is why I bought this album. As you can see there are lots of varied artists on here. There are a lot of artists who I had never heard of. In fact there are more artists that I do not know of than ones that I do know of. Being Welsh, I thought that it was great that this album features a few Welsh artists (Katherine Jenkins, Aled Jones, Fron Male Voice Choir). However, I do think that as they were performing covers (and not their own songs), then they could have easily performed some Welsh songs to add more variety to the album, and also give listeners an insight into how great Welsh music is. This CD makes great 'pleasant listening' as it is such an 'easy-listening' kind of album. It's great for having on in the background as it is so relaxing. It would also be a perfect CD for playing whilst entertaining guests or hosting a dinner party at home. I really like this album and I would definetely recommend this to all classical lovers. Thanks for reading! June 2012 Xdonzx / xd-o-n-z-x
