Its called It's Electric: The Sound of the 80's, so you are kind of knowing what to expect. Nice dittys from that decade that are synth-laden and maybe a little dark or quirky. So as expected you have Ultravox, Duran Duran, Human League, Thomas Dolby, Heaven 17. Then you have some bands that, although not electronic, it would be fair to say they were part of that scene. Say, Culture Club, Spandau Ballet. There is not a bad choice here, though the album does miss out some major players such as Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Gary Numan, John Foxx and Japan. Now you could argue that Japan were a glam rock band, but lets face it, they jumped on the electronic bandwagon sooner than ...
