Reminisce of 2001 (Now That's What I Call Music! 48)

Advantages: A few good songs Disadvantages: Not enough good songs The Now Thats What I Call Music series of comilation cds has been around since 1983. Deals with major record labels meant that many big number one hits could be sold on just one compilation album. At the time, compilation albums like the Now Thats What I Call Music series had been sold on one vinyl record or cassette tape which meant the tracks were often shortened or lowered in quality to fit. Now! sold its albums in two disk packs, so the buyer always got the full, high quality track. Now 48 was released back in 2001 and listening to it now takes your mind straight back to that time! The first disc contains most of the best songs in my opinion, but there are good hits to be found on the second CD aswell. Songs such as Whole Again by Atomic kitten and Pure and Simple by Hear'Say are some of the most memorable from 2001. There are times when listening to this when you will just shout out "I remember this!", as you reminisce on 2001. I dont think this is the best Now CD, it doesnt have as many hits as I would like but its worth a listen. Summary: A CD thats worth a listen |
