In 2007 not many people in the UK had heard of Basshunter, Jonas Erik Altberg. Though most of Europe would have been familiar with him. Basshunter had registered a massive hit all over the world with Boten Anna. I actually bought the Boten Anna track a few years back and always knew it would be huge if the UK just got to hear it. In 2008, January saw the release of Now You're Gone, a reworking of his Boten Anna hit. The track debuted on download at number 14 in the charts and the following week had shot to number one in the charts. It stayed at the number one spot for an amazing 5 weeks. The public were divided, some loved it some hated it. But you could not ... Read the complete review

Basshunter, Jonas Erik Altberg is a Swedish DJ has recently made a presence in the UK after releasing a number of songs from his UK debut album Now YOu're Gone and is extremely popular with the younger generation and those like myself that wanted to listen to something that took them back to their younger clubbing days. I was curious to listen to this album, although I am probably a little too old now for this kind of music, years ago I quite liked the tracks from Ultrabeat, although they do become extremely annoying and the lyrics are rather dire, in comparison to Ultrabeat I thought Basshunter were going to be along the same lines. Having released ... Read the complete review

Basshunter is a swedish Dj named Jonas Altberg, whom makes songs which all sound the same but annoyingly catchy with his throbbing bassline and corny choruses. I saw some one had put he stole the song 'Now your gone' from Dj Alex but he wrote the song first on his computer and got past onto a swedish radio show before Dj Alex picked it up and turned it into English so i feel basshunter needs more credit than he gets. Although Basshunter has had many critics, his debut single 'Now your gone' was the biggest selling single of last year selling 400,000 copies. In my opinion this album is definately worth buying if you are into dance music, if you are not then you may find ... Read the complete review

This is an album which i never thought i would see myself buying. I thought my days of dancing around to embarrassingly poor clubbing tracks were well and truly. And then came- Now You're Gone. I loved this track when it came out and turned it up whenever it was on the radio. Then came the 'not quite as good' All i Ever Wanted which was still catchy but not quite as funky as its predecesor. The rest of the album is absolute mince. Not for me at all. However, as this is not my regular purchase these days, i may just enjoy the two best tracks as they take me back to my clubbing days so don't let that put you off. I'm sure there will be some hardcore clubbing fans ... Read the complete review
