Some people look down on nymphetamine but i think it is a good release from Cradle of filth. It has some amazing songs on it such as "Gilded C**t" and "Nymphetamine (Overdose)". It is not your typical black metal release but i think it has a different feel to it that is a refreshing break from some of the other black metal albums around at the time. The songs are still loud and layered with lead vocalist, Dani Filth's, stunning vocals. The song "Absinthe with faust" is the most played song in my itunes and starts with a great piano piece before kicking in to a slow guitar riff. The song has a very saddening mood to it which soon kicks in to a very angry, spiteful style of vocals. The album as a whole flows well and i think that it is better than many albums out there. I would reccomend it to any fan of metal in general and feel that it is a valuable addition to anyone's record collection.

Summary: Deserves more than one listen
