Advantages: Melodic, heavy and has an excellant theme

Disadvantages: Loses momentum in some parts

In my opinion, this is one of Cradle of Filth's greatest works. Some people dismiss it as failing to recapture old Cradle, but in my opinion, I though it showed the band had taken a new step forward and I thoroughly enjoyed this album. The opening track, Gilded C**t , with awesome drumming. Nemesis and Gabrielle are also really good tracks, and both Nymphetamine (Overdose) and (Fix) are realy good and provide a slow, melodic, epic and dark love song to the album to give it real depth. Most of the other songs are very good, Mother of Abominations and Filthy Little Secret being my favourites. The special edition, which has covers such as Mr Crowley by Ozzy Osbourne and Devil Woman by Cliff Richard (don't let that put you off, it's very good), are good, but not really necessary. The album itself is much better than the other CD, which is expected.

Summary: Overall an epic album, with melodic highs and heavy lows, a definate buy for any Cradle fan.
