Ocean Avenue - Yellowcard

'Ocean Avenue' is the 2004 album from the American Pop Punk band Yellowcard. Although fitting snugly into the genre of Pop Punk, the band actually incorporate a violin into their sound and this is something that makes them stand out a little from the crowd. When you listen to the music of Yellowcard it is not your standard Pop Punk affair and therefore their music is all the more interesting to listen to. Being a Yellowcard convert recently, thanks to a certain someone out there introducing to me to their ocean avenue album, I have listened to it non stop. It’s a blink182 type band but with better lyrics in my case, and anyone who reads my music reviews will know that I love lyrics within the songs more than anything as well as the actual beat, rhythm and instruments in the song. Yellowcard OCEAN AVENUE This is a pop punk/alternative band that are amazing they use electric violins which is unusal for this genre of music but they are exceedingly good. Each track are around 5 minutes each and all have excpetional Vocals and lyrics. I bought this CD off amazon for £9 roughly plus postage and package so it came to £11 almost which I personally think it is worth it.
