Off the deep end starts with the Nirvana theme, the all too famous 'smells likes teen spirit' with it's new title 'smells like Nirvana' It doesn't even matter that the lyrics aren't really that wonderful, and obviously no deep thought has been taken to write them but it still sounds great! Where do we start? We see a slight resemblance to an album cover we've seen before, yes, Nirvana's album "never mind" looks so similar, obviously the baby has grown and is that a doughnut I spy? Who could possibly be the artist of such an album? Alfred Matthew Yankovic or better known as Weird al Yankovic - Born 1959 proud owner of three gold and five platinum records in America, and I bet there's alot of you who have no idea who this guy is! Alfred is famous for his comical song writing skills, well I say song writing, by that I mean he writes the lyrics, someone's already made up the tunes. We just love the way he rewrites the lyrics so that they ...

Another great album by "Weird Al" Yankovic the king of comic verse and parodies. There is no one that can be compared to the talent of "Weird Al" with the diversity of styles that he and his band cover with ease. The album cover is also a parody of Nirvana's album "Nevermind" with the swimming baby. This album start's with one of the two "Weird Al"s songs that has been released in the UK "Smells Like Nirvana" parody of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana, when it was in the charts it only got to number 58. However, despite its bad luck in the UK charts it's still a wonderful ...

Classic Rock - 1997

Couple of good songs Lots that aren't very good

Great songs, Colourblind, Rushes, Incredible, Simple Like The Truth Darius is a little corny (might be underestimating by saying alittle)

Wasteland - Atargatis
Strong leading vocal performance and adequate variation. Music is secondary to the singing, and doesn't do a lot to impress.

Three Sided Coin - Nickelback

The Resignation - Rx Bandits
Brilliant use of guitars, excellent vocals, and hugely powerful drum beats. This hour of music just doesn't seem to last long enough.

Gloomy atmospheric rock in the style of Anathema. It won't make you cry or anything.

Clear Air Turbulence - Ian Band Gillan

Some great guitar solos. Adopts a new, less original and less fun style.

Dis Is Da Drum - Herbie Hancock
A great chillout cd Not everyones cup of tea.
