"Oh, Inverted World" was the first album by The Shins I listened to and was their debut album released back in 2001. Frequently compared with many bands and having a touch of numerous genres, The Shins are difficult to place. A branch of pop, with indie and even psychedelic influences that are very unforgettable. However, "Oh, Inverted World" certainly has a largely pop sound to it and more so than their other two albums.
