There's something reassuring, something comforting about knowing that Simon & Garfunkel are out there. They're like that relative you used to see all the time but now but haven't visited for a while. You still like them but not quite enough to actually make the effort to pay a call; it's enough to know that they're there if you need them. You can go years without listening to one of their tracks but when you do it's always a pleasure. This three disc anthology is part greatest hits and part retrospective.
