I may have gotten over the fact that I will NEVER marry George Michael and that indeed his affections lie somewhere quite different, however I still love his music and have the cds, videos, t-shirts, books and concert tickets to prove it. If I had to pick my favourite George Michael cd it would have to be “Older” which was released in 1996. If you want to chill out you could do worse than slap on your headphones, dim the lights and pop in "Older" by George Michael, that is, after drooling over the CD cover which shows George looking as sexy and moody as ever! The first album of a new era for George Michael - a little more mature, a little wiser (?) and yes, a little older. This album has produced at least 3 top chart hits and proved that George really could still deliver the goods (music-wise). In my first few homesick weeks at university, I used to listen to this CD on repeat to help me drift off to sleep. It used to concentrate all my feelings of sadness with tracks such as 'Jesus to a child' and replace them all with groovy, happy feelings during tracks such as 'Fast love' and 'Move On'. Older has to be the best George Michael album ever. I have never been a George Michael fan. I never thought that Wham where good. Then I heard Jesus to a child and spinning the wheel. I then knew that I had to go and buy the album. This was a bit of thing for me as I never have been a great album buyer. However, I parted with £15 (I did buy this about 4 years ago so my memory is a little bit hazy) and I was amazed and astounded with the quality of the album.
